    Default masdevalia orchid in bloom

Since I have a warm greenhouse it is impossible to decently grow Masdevalia's but stil have 3 of them on the kitchen windowsill. The Floribunda's flower really well (could not find pictures but they still flower) and the pink one only with 1 flower. Too beautiful to get rid of them

Lovely! This is one genus that we don't often see in the tropics.

I find that greenhouses have micro climates. There is always a spot that is cooler. Also keeping the root zone cooler by having the pot slid into a clay pot also helps push the envelope. I have found that summer temps up to 26 Celsius have not killed cool growers.

Ron and all others thank you for your comments!!!
Ron I try to grow heat loving species from Asia and south America In summer temperature in the greenhouse exceed 30 degrees celcius almost every day and is hard to control
I have given up Masdevalia but as mentioned it does quite well on the windowsill in the kitchen and bedrooms (although I have promised my wife not to have non flowering plants in house after I have built the greenhouse
