    Default Bulbophyllum thiurum

Our local species from Southern part of Peninsular Malaysia ( West Malaysia) small plant but the flowers relatively huge as compared to pseudobulb. Need higher moisture during the development of the new pbulb. Slow growing required high light to induce spike, few plants under the shades get less than 50% light seems to have no spike at all base on observation may these will give some clue for those got these species in their collection. In a cloudy and raining season the flowers may last more than a week so far no smell noted.

Wow, that is a fascinating flower! The petals are tentacle-like in a way; rather elegant.
