    Unfortunately, neither japonicus or somae are shown in the IOSPE.

    This is now in spike again! I am very happy about that!

    And no, it is not Gast Somae. It is japonicus as it has no fragrance! My research shows that to be the main difference between the 2 species..

    Not correct. The main difference between Somae and Japonicus is fragrance. Somae is fragrant, Japonicus is not.

    Mine was not fragrant. therefore Japonicus.
