I have one of these growing in a pot and somehow it survived that 'polar vortex' freeze that killed about half of my orchids. This guy is blooming now too. Must be their time of the year. Love the double blooms on your plant! All of your Cochleanthes are amazing!

    cheers,
    BD

I love seeing these. I have amazonica and thought I was going to lose it last year but it has a new growth. I can never find any others for sale. I really wouldn't have the room even if I could find some. Thanks for sharing.

vey very nice as always ALWAYS...i have an amozonica in bud now.......3 days ago i started exploring the cocoa fields of the valleys of the northern mountain range.....i collected a little plant i thought was Stenia pallida...turns out along with Bulbophyllum pachyrachis, Maxillaria rufescens,Epidendrum moyobambae, several pleurothallis and one Oncidium citrinum...i collected not a Stenia pallida but a Cochleanthes trinitatis....an endemic species it seems with few photos and information...i hope to multiply it in the future....

Thank you again for passing on the pictures of your collection. It is so seldom that I get a chance to be in touch with someone who has the wealth of knowledge that you do. Have you ever thought of making crosses of your species?
