    Default Staurochilus luzonensis

Staurochilus luzonensis was named by Prof. Oakes Ames in 1915 after the island of Luzon, the biggest in the Philippine archipelago. The genus is closely related to Trichoglottis, with 14 species.

The plant is endemic to the provinces of Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Sur in the island of Luzon, and Agusan del Norte in the island of Mindanao.

Interesting. I like how it looks as if it is taking a bow. Quite nice. Thanks for sharing.

    Default Thank you, guys.

Typically it has open blooms at any one time, but a few more buds can develop and open after the main crop.
