Eleven spikes, but this orchid is more consecutive in nature than going in full bloom all at once. Easy care orchid that really puts out the growths. Please forgive my poor photography and realize that getting good shots of the cockle shell like blooms is not easy. ALName: Phalaenopsis bastianii and friends 015.JPG

Looks like one heckuva root mass you have going there! Sizeable/large-growing plant I take it? Lovely flowers. Believe this and all the cockleshells are Anacheilium now.

It's in a 4 and 1/2 inch pot Paul, but the growths grow more up than out. It is probably time to repot. It is going to be a couple months befor it quits blooming I believe or maybe even a bit longer. Any way I don't think it's critical to do real soon. Thanks for clueing me in on the Anachellium. AL

    Nice, Al.

BTW - about ten years ago it was reclassified as Anacheilium ionophlebium.
