    Default Gastrochilus hainanensis

Here are photos of the flowers gradually developing.... first time I have had 4 stalks in one bloom - the flowers were completely wrapped around the plant!

Do I count 4 flower stalks on a plant with 4 leaves? That's a great achievement!

Thanks everyone for your comments! Indeed a very unexpectedly abundant bloom. I forgot to mention it has a nice scent as well which I didn't realise until I saw a wasp hovering around it! Is there anything I can do about the mounting, do you think? Doesn't leave much space for the flowers unfortunately... but now the roots have also embedded themselves in the mount so I'm not sure I can take it off without damaging the plant....

There are actually 2 stems (? is that the correct term?) with 4 leaves each...

I think you could just mount the entire orchid, current mount and all, to a larger piece of what ever you mount with.

That is my plan with my Gastrochilus japonicus when it overgrows its mount. It is on tree fern.
