    Default Zygolum Rhein Clown

I received this for free ( bought enough orchids to fill up my punch card) last week. I wasn't sure what I wanted so this looked healthy and had some buds on it. I had no idea what it would look like. Several buds opened yesterday and today. I like it! Now I need to go look up how to take care of it. I really must learn to do my research before picking up a new plant

Actually, yes. I get a free seedling each time I go. I have about a dozen assorted babies. Hopefully I don't kill them - lol..

    Any advice on seedling care?

Thanks Ron. I will update the tag. It is a very striking bloom. From what I have found this is a cool to intermediate grower, correct? If so, I will have to keep it inside.

Yes, it has a delightful fragrance. Even with my cold, I can smell it. It is in front of my kitchen sink and makes my time there much more enjoyable!

Thank you Harvey. It does have nice colors. When I first started getting into orchids, I wanted the pinks and purples. I would read the tag descriptions and think "green"???? But in a short time, I have come to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness. I have a paph hsinying alien that is going to be out of this world when it opens. I'm pretty sure that is a bud coming up on it. I bought it for the camo look foliage. when I got home I looked up the flower and is very striking and unique.

Oh my, these plants are addictive. I told my husband we need to buy a new house with the proper back yard exposure and room for a nice greenhouse!

Yes, They are happiest with night temperatures of 55 to 60 degrees and daytime temperatures in the mid 80’s or below

Hmmm, I can't give them 55 to 60 degrees at night during the summer. Currently, the house is usually about 72 at night and I have a fan in their area also. The highest the house gets during the day is about 78.

Sounds like it can go outside in the period we call Winter lol. Thank you for your help.
