    Cool Dichaea Muricata

I bought this interesting species as much for the non-orchid look (looks more like a fern) as the flowers. It arrived a month or more ago with one bud on it which blasted. And now it has gotten happy enough again to start blooming again. There are several fronds that are sporting a single bloom right now. It hangs in my 20 gallon orchidarium which has the most light of the 3 right now (I just converted my 50 gallon into a orchidarium. The previous residents have moved to Arvada, Colorado).

Very nice. I MUST work on getting that terrarium set up.

Hmmm... No Dichaea hybrids registered. Put some Zygopetalum or Maxillaria pollen on that and you could be the first.

    What a cool little plant!

I have a 55 gallon tank with fish in it atm... but not a lot of fish! Maybe when they pass away, I will convert that into an orchidarium for cute and interesting mini orchids. I'm getting bored of the fish! That could be fun.

I gave my fish and all the fish related equipment away to a good home last week. I really didn't expect to find anyone to take them but I did.

Hmmmm well so far my MIL likes the fish, but they were really my daughter's pets and she now lives all the way across the country. I'm pretty iffy on tank cleaning. On the other hand, MIL also loves the orchids, so that should be fine. I'm pretty sure I'm down to one nice big pretty Rainbow fish and some bottom fishes (Coreys). I do have some pretty cool aquatic plants though, maybe I could keep part of it aquatic for them... or grow orchids and cool frogs or something! lol I'm too lazy, it will sit there, being fed and sometimes cleaned until the fish die of old age, then we'll see what happens!
