    Cool Eria convallarioides

This one sits in the shaded part of my vanda section. Apparently it is very happy this year.

Yes, it has a very pleasant scent. I sent it with my husband to a local gentleman that used to run the local orchid shows every year. He was over the moon with this plant and it's fabulous scent as a matter of fact.

I believe that is one of the nicknames for this plant...Lily of the valley Orchid. I am fortunate it favors my backyard conditions. I adore plants with tiny flowers and even when it was only giving me a few spikes at a time I fawned over it. I threw it under some vanda's this year and to my delight it has went crazy. I will be leaving in a quiet corner to be ignored from now on.

That's exactly what convallarioides means... resembling Convallaria (the genus of Lily of the Valley)

Thank you, I did not know that. I will have to try and remember that....or make a note of it in my long neglected orchid journal.
