    would like to take this opportunity to ask OTF members, where can i purchase the black cloth used as photography background? textile shop?

    Simply Superb!!. Regarding cloth I was reading that black or dark blue velvet cloth is the best and you should be able to find it in a cloth store.

    thanks for the comments. will try to go to one of the textile shop to ask about it, but i just got to figure out how to describe velvet in Chinese language to the seller. haha..many thanks

    Beautiful blooms Ian. Regarding the cloth, perhaps look in the section of the cloth store designated for dress making. I bet you will find velour, velveteen, and velvet.

    LOL, I"ve used a black tshirt before. Of course, my pictures aren't the best.. Beautiful flower.

    i had tried with black t shirt as well, just that sometimes they do reflect a small amount of light, unless if you wet the black cotton t shirt before the photography session.

    Gorgeous Catesetum! Black is good for most things, but if you are doing dark flowers a medium gray works better. When buying the cloth try to check how much lint and hair it retains.
