    Yes it is one of the genus that are leaf and stem less and roots photosynthesize. They carry 1-2 leaves for a few months at the beginning of new growth and then drop them. I am looking for more of this genus but hard to find. I have another one Chilochista parishii in spike but is very slow

    Wow! So unique - how do you tell that they are doing okay when there is no spike? Do they just look like a bunch of roots then? I guess they need high humidity?

    Yes. It looks like phalaenopsis roots. if they are plump and green they are good. Yes they require high humidity
