    Smile Thrixspermum formosanum

This mini has been hanging in my 50 gallon orchidarium since August 2014. I'd say it has maybe tripled in size in that time. It grew what I thought was 3 spikes. The first one produced a keiki, which you can see in the image of the plant. The second has bloomed a single flower so far. It is a successive bloomer, so hopefully it will be in bloom for a couple weeks at least. It is said to be short lived blooms though.

The flower is a bit smaller than a pencil eraser. I looks lightly yellow. Comparing it the IOSPE, it looks like it could be mislabeled.

It looks like it opened some more since I took the pictures and the flower is upside down.

This is the first blooming of this orchid. As it matures, it will have multiple spikes in bloom simultaneously.
