    Default Gastrochilus Hainanesis - this year's bloom

    Only 3 spikes this year - down from last year's 4 but still not quite enough space for all the flowers to open fully! Wish I could separate the 2 branches...

    Thanks for your encouragement! Confession time - what may not be obvious is that I actually used the "pano" setting to take this picture because the flowers are wrapped around the backing. So to capture the full bloom, I had to move the camera around 180 deg slowly to attempt to capture the whole thing in one picture - is that cheating?! Maybe that's why you kept staring at it :P ?

    Here is the uncropped version which also shows how I had to tie up the leaves so they didn't obscure the flowers... The lengths I will go to to show off my orchids!
