Cool Epilaelia Snow Fantasy and Eplc. Pixie Charm

A couple Epidendrum & Laelia hybrids. I am finding I enjoy these plants. They look and grow like Encyclia, but larger flowers on very long spikes. They do their best in baskets and clay pots sitting next to my vanda section. When they start throwing spikes they get watered with the vanda. I usually sit them in the cattleya section for a month or two after blooming so they can rest. They are sun lovers for sure and can handle nearly full sun, even here in Florida. One last point on these...their scent is wonderful. The Pixie Charm has the entire back porch scented with a wonderful sweet smell. These are great plants and easy to grow especially if you are in the south.

They aren't so bad in the North either! I just love Encyclia, Laelia, and Brassavola hybrids!
