    Default Scaphosepalum gibberosum

    The flowers of this genus have intriguing shapes. This one looks like a space ship or something to me. It is pretty challenging to show the funky shape in two dimensional photos!





    I missed to take the photos at the peak. There were quite a few space ships flying around!

    Thanks, Zainal and Karin. I'm glad the blog post was somewhat interesting. I indeed didn't know about the fragrance producing organ (osmophores) of Scaphosepalum until I started to write the post.
