Oh my goodness , this is a pig to photograph. The flowers themselves are a fantastic pristine white , but my pictures show a peach flush, and veins which are invisible to my eyes. Of course white flowers are always difficult, but I have not met one before as difficult as this. It is all a matter of my eyes being sensitive to a different part of the spectrum to the digital camera sensor. Maybe if I experimented in different lights, or even different sensors , since I have several cameras I could have used, I could do better. But as Shakespeare said, time is the old enemy... there is not enough for all the things I want to do. So I just had a fiddle with photoshop, to get it nearly right - but alas, losing much of the beauty.

Whatever. This is a young plant, a seedling, flowering for the first time. Cym erythrostylum is very different from the hybrid cymbidiums which are more familiar to most ,and few flowered is the norm. But it can be grown into specimens, with many spikes. A task for me !
