Default Cycnoches (herrenhusanum X pentadactylon X barthiorum)

This is the second of six new orchids from the Miami International Orchid Show two weekends ago. The flowers, to me, look a little droopy but considering that this was in bud when I purchased it and it had just been shipped from Taiwan and I normally don't have much luck with new purchases that have recently been shipped to a show, or to my home, in bud. I am not at all upset as I know they will be better next year. If anyone questions the species name, I will just say this is what the tag said...

Very Pretty! I have a Cycnoches pentadactylon on order. Won't be in bloom when it comes.

    Thanks Harvey!!

Sounds to me that you have bought more orchids in the last week then I have, do I have to catch up? Good luck with your new Cycnoches pentadactylon!

This one actually has been on order for a couple of weeks. I asked the seller to hold them order until the plants are established in their pots. I have received too many that were stuffed in pots and shipped out that dies in short order.

Only 9 in the last month. Trying to hold fast here! It isn't easy! Damn addiction!

I haven't bought an orchid for months... could be because when I was out of town in August I broke my arm and am still not driving yet. Although I have a couple of orchids coming into bloom, I'm about ready to buy another one!
