Default new Coelogyne asperata from Mindanao island

Newly acquired, a big pot of Coelogyne asperata from Mindanao. Some of the buds blasted.
The usual asperata here comes from Leyte island. This variant from Mindanao is a bit bigger, and the lip is more brightly colored. Photo taking is a bit difficult as the blooms are not well oriented.
Coelogyne asperata is a species commonly found also in parts of Malaysia and Indonesia.

Very very nice! I have this plant too. I think it will bloom when it starts to make a new growth!
    Cheers. Hoa.

In Southern Cal, even in the greenhouse, it is not quite warm enough yet. So most of my intermediate/warming growing coelogynes tend to bloom in April or May. The cool growing coelogynes have already bloomed (cristata) or are currently in bloom (ochracea). Thanks for the info!
    Cheers. Hoa.
