    Default catasetum rooselvetianum

    one of my favorite catasetum, small flowers about an inch in height, minimal scent noted.
    flower spike is erect in nature, with four flowers this time compare to only one during the last bloom

    yes Harvey, this is a male flower. for catasetum, it is quite easy to tell, all the female has a dome head, something like a helmet or trojan hat while the male don't, exception to catasetum planiceps and some of their crosses.
    but tbe easiest way is still to look for the trigger pollina that is only present in male flowers

    Interesting species. Flower shape looks to me to resemble the tulip orchids (Anguloa).
