Such an interesting bloom on this one. It has a wax-like appearance in your photos to me.

Awesome! Great picture of a cute little plant. I'm totally jealous, can't keep one alive in my very dry conditions, much less flower it!

It 'a plant that loves shade, cool temperatures and ur high, 70-80%, light fertilizations, 1/3, and compound wet, personally I do a mix of orchiata (bark New Zealand), perlite and sphagnum, kept always moist, I tried this in pure sphagnum moss, but does not satisfy me, as soon as possible the rinvaserò; or mounted, making sure it does not dry out completely.

No wonder I have problems with them.... in the summer its hotter than can be here, even with air conditioning its pretty hot. We have consistently about 20% humidity to deal with and I sometimes forget to keep my houseplants and orchids watered. I did keep one alive for 3 years, but it was gradually failing the whole time, makes me feel like a murderer! As long as I live here, I think I'll pass.

La mia coltivazione è in serra e con un impianto fog, ma un mio amico le coltiva in casa con successo, in una mini serra collegata a un umidificatore, per le temperature, reggono bene fino a 27° - 28°, un piccola diramazione dal condizionatore.

Personally I cultivate in the greenhouse with a fog system that give me the right humidity, but a friend of mine grows in the home successfully, has built a mini greenhouse attached to a humidifier and temperature connected as required to the air conditioner, however, hold up good up to 27 ° - 28 °.

It can get to as high as 46C outside, we can keep it to about 25C inside when its that hot out. In the winter it can get down to -28C outside and we keep it about 22C for my Mother in Law, who lives with us. She's 91 years old and gets cold easily. Our local climate is pretty extreme... we have low humidity and winds pretty much year around. Right now its spring - pretty nice out there with flowers and green growing things to enjoy! Our average years precipitation runs between 10 and 12 inches a year. A green house sounds wonderful, but also a lot of work for someone with a few orchids as house plants. I've got about 40 or so orchids. I just enjoy seeing the flowers that other people can grow, especially when I am not able to grow them!
