    The type form of this species has almost orange patches on the lip ; in Lemoniana, they are, as you can see, pale yellow. The flowers are very sweetly scented; some people claim they can tell the varieties apart by the scent, but that's too subtle for me. As so often in this genus, the flowers emerge from the centres of new growths, which go on to form new bulbs later in the yeaer - then need quite a hard dry rest, before the next set of blooms appear.
