    Nice! Looks a lot healthier than Stanhopea's I've seen in my area, even in greenhouses. They flower well but the leaves are always in really bad shape.

    Another favorite species! I wish mine would start blooming.

    Thanks folks. The key thing I've found with the culture of these is a mix that doesn't break down easily, they love water & lots of it BUT must the mix must drain freely. They also like food. I use liquid fert' & it gets it when I feed everything. I also put pelletised chicken poo on it 3 or 4 times a year so it gets some food every watering.
    Basket is lined with very thin Paper Bark I took off a tree in my yard. (Melaleuca)
    Spag Moss is really good if you can get it easily & it's of good quality, not easy where I am.

    Roy, we have melaleuca in south Florida and when they bloom it smells like McDonalds French fries lol!

    Not sure what Macka's is like in the USA but smelling like a Melaleuca might be a good thing for a change with them.
