    Default Another Cochleanthes (warczewiczella) Complex

My own cross, registered in 2003, as a pescoranthes. Lovely fragrance on a sunny morning.

Warczatoria Heaven's Bank (Pescatoria wallisii x Warczewiczella River's Edge), where River's Edge was amazonica x marginata (river's edge - margin of the Amazon, get it?).

    ...and maybe the last.

I made the cross in the late '90's, and ended up with literally thousands of plants. Most were sold out of compots, and a lot were thrown away. The quality was extremely variable, and in my opinion, most were ugly as sin. That is an older photo, but that plant is just going out of bloom, and was actually one that had been sold, and then a few years later, the buyer gave it back to me...

Sad about it Ray. Flower does seem to have some potential though (color and shape) and I suppose most are fragrant too.
