The plant now has 3 leads all of flowering size, but each flowers as and when it is ready, so that I often have flowers, but only one spike at a time , which - from a show point of view - is a pity. I can see the advantages of course, but I would sooner have them all together, just one a year.I can't see any way of bringing them into sync' without taking some risk - like drying off or chilling - since it is a plant which likes its water. In fact I grow it S/H until the spikes start, as they don't like to be tied up it seems, so as soon as there is a risk of the spikes growing down into the water, its time to come out and be hung up.

Beautiful! It WOULD look so great if they would all bloom at once.

Looks strong and healthy. I bought one last August, repotted it, and have been watering almost daily. I was wondering if semi hydroponic would work. Guess I got my answer

The spike went over, on the day before a local show, and thenext spike is now extending , but I think will not open any flowers until the next show is over....it is clearly a shy species, prefers to avoid shows !
