    This is the Japanese way of potting it. Only the top has sphag, the whole pot is empty inside, so it provide good drainage and air movement. If you are intereted, I can PM you the link on potting demonstration of the Japanese method.

    You should give a try, Tim. Most of the ones I have seen in japan have been planted just like that, in a mound of moss. OF course the people there care for their plants like they were their children!

    Default Here's my neo

    Only one spike, but it's better than what has not been happening with all three of my neos these last three years. I've been trying to follow the advice of a local grower of these: Semi-shade and moist during the summer and bright, cool and dry during the winter.
