Had a touch of pink in the flowers last year, looking like it will remain white this year.

    That's pretty Roy.
The big purple and white Catt. I posted the other day had a light tint of color in the white petals this year which I had never seen on it before.
What do you think causes that tinting some years but not others? Temp.? Light?

It is an interesting question, it has to come through via the parentage. Whether it's a combination of all cultural areas, temp, light etc or whether the growth that is flowering carries more of the pink parent genes or not it a question I have no answer for. Is it possible, don't know.

I have found that quite a lot of orchids flower paler when grown in less light - like a poor English summer -so those which will flower here in the coming Spring ( or late winter ) after our amazing best ever summer this year should, conversely, have better than usual colour... we will see !
