    Thanks guys.

    Regarding the slow growth of this species, I just saw a couple of pictures of real specimen plants from Taiwan and Japan with several inflorescences having probably 50 flowers each or more. I don't know how old the plants in the pictures were but I'm guessing 20 - 30 years at least. The pictures were in the latest orchid magazine from AOS.

    Sometimes I was wondering how the original plant from Thailand the inflorescence almost about 2 feet with flowers as you mention above in reality when we grow them in our country it doesnt happen...weird.

    You are right Zain. Something seems very strange about those tall specimen plants. Has anyone recorded such tall Rhy. gigantea growing in situ? Maybe it is possible for flowers to be produced in the much older leaf axils at the lower part of the plant but I do find it quite strange, or?
