    That's a neat one Jack!
I only have 3 bulbo's and all seem to be trying desperately to die.
Have never had any luck with them.

Not sure why you are having problems with the ones you have, we have almost the same environment other they you might have a little more salt in the air but that should be good for them. Where do you keep yours and how do you care for them?

    Jack-
I have 2 (Eliz. Ann Buckleberry and a lobbii that I keep on the same bench as paph's & oncidiums at the shadier end of my shadehouse. Both potted in small size orchiata. (orchiata is my latest experiment with media for them)
And I have a hirundinis mounted on tree fern under the misters in fairly bright light. And that is the healthiest of the 3.
Same water/feed schedule as everybody else.

I have the same ones you have but they all get more light. I normally have 60% shade cloth but last year because all the trees that were in the back yard were destroyed by the last hurricane and had to be cut down I ended up changing that to 70% aluminate as the sun during the summer goes right over the bulbo shed and they were getting to much sun, I could have changed back to the 60% after the sun moved in the fall, but they are still doing fine and it is too much work for me to do by myself. I also use a bark mixture on the Elizabeth Ann but use sphagnum on my lobbii they like a little more moisture. I think you should move those 3 up to the same area of the hirundinis as they are not getting enough light, maybe when you leave to go back up north you might want to lower them a little but not back to where you have them now. I have come to the conclusion that bulbos need more light then what most say they require, they do better for me since I moved them to more light.

    Consider it done.
I certainly can't do much more damage to them!

Appreciate the suggestion Jack. I'll keep you posted on how they do.
