Two spikes here - one of 23 flowers and the other about 18. I bought it in flower 3 or 4 years ago, and last year divided into three pieces. Sold one piece a couple of days ago, this is the second, and the third is still somewhere on my benches; between them they had 5 spikes, and considering the major repot 12 months ago, when the plants went into my "look mum, no hands" automatic drip watering system, that is pretty good.

Bred by Andy Easton , once of Geyserland Orchids ; I have never met him, but heard a lot about him from a couple of my ( now deceased )orchid breeder friends - Keith Andrew and Ray Bilton , respectively of McBeans Orchids and Keith Andrew Orchids - also now deceased, i.e out of business .
Much admired wherever I show it. The lovely arching spike habit, comes from one of its parents - Cym.devonianum - which I once had the thrill of seeing in spike, in Northern Thailand. But whatever species enthusiasts may say, this hybrid is way, way better - a a hundred miles better than that species.

But how curious that this is so much admired - - we love our orchids for the superb colour they bring into our lives - and here is one without much colour to speak of, and everyone goes mad for it. We are a funny lot, us orchidophiles.

I like the color and the picotee on the edges. As you mentioned, the spike is very well presented also. Beautiful!
