    Default Masdevallia 'HELP' please...

I've just purchased two Masdevallia orchids: Hybrid 'Velvet Star' (which is in bloom as shown below) and Masdevallia veitchiana which has yet to arrive. I know the basics about keeping these plants and I have the ideal set-ups in place etc., which will hopefully allow the plants a good chance...

My question is this: Once the flower/flowers have faded, how far back should I trim the stalk/spike please? Also, can I expect further blooms on the 'Velvet Star' example shown below?

ANY helpful/useful advice about these stunning plants would be gratefully received. Many Thanks in advance, Roxy.

H Roxy, not an expert by any means but generally you snip the spikes off at the bottom.

Many Thanks, Sheryl. ANY advice is appreciated, as this is my first Masdevalia… I'm also confused about this particular plant of mine, all information seems to suggest that only ONE flower will bloom on each spike. However, my plant (as shown above) has since shed its flower BUT another bloom is about to flower upon the same spike. Is this normal?
