    The pic is a bit brighter and more vivid than the orchid, although it is a very vibrant and cheerful flower. about 5 or 6 ninches natural span.

    Very similar to R.grande, although really well grown specimens of both ( very rarely seen) are easily distinguished - grande flowers are twice as big, but williamsonianum can have twice as many flowers. Also grande flowers in fall, after completing its growth, williamsianum flowers in Spring before starting.
    And what confuses the issue is that many plants sold as either are in fact Rawdon Jester - a hybrid between the two - which can flower at any time, but at its best is never quite as good as either parent at its best.

    This is not an example at its best, but still worth shoiwiung I think.
