Eww...the last one looks like an alien. And not a nice one. What ever happened to Vulcans? Why can't we have nice aliens anymore?

I love the first one - a Stanhopea or Gongora? Species?

Those Bat Plants are pretty kewl aye... they do grow big so even though I've liked them for quite some time, I just keep thinking precious orchid growing spce!

The stanhopea must be some kind of hybrid... maybe something with tigrina in it (coz of the dark markings) and one of the white ones like Stan candida or martiana...

And gotta love that Disa! We just don't see enough of the african orchids!

The plant is Stanhopea Assidensis. Timmy is right but he has one of the parental plant (the tigrina), so probably that is how he knows!!!
I was surprised to see Disa plants being offered at the fair. I don't see them very often either.
    Cheers. Hoa.

aaah, I knew the eye had to come from somewhere... the other parent I thought of was Stan occulata... but went with the white flowered Stan's because of the overall colour of the plant...

anyways, it is really nice to see that the hybrids in this genus can improve on something already wonderful!
