    Default Galeandra batemanii

Should form a nice cascade of blooms by the time they're done opening. Last year the spike branched and rebloomed twice over the fall blooming season.

    Default Nice!

I got one a few months ago..small thing. The first three flowers on the spike dried up soon after the spike pushed its way through the top. I think I might have another flower or at least a branch below this...any tips on keeping the buds from drying up? (I think I may be keeping mine too dry...not sure..)

Very nice, Sue! Jay Pfahl says this species is very rare. It's also very attractive. When did you end up back in St. Louis? Are you done in VA?

    Default Want one?

If any of our US members are interested in this species, please PM me. I'm considering a compot with several previous bloomed plants and several smaller seedlings (they don't have to grow large before they start to bloom.)

Hi Piper, Mine is not as big as Sue's, how can I make the Galeandra batemanii to bloom? I have been waiting for at least a year already. Thx.
