    Bravo, Nelson!
I recently bought Jim Cootes' book - now I have a Nelson companion guide! Your photographs for this species are far superior!

    Default Thank you, Julie.

But in fairness, Jim's book is not meant to be a coffee-table type book. I think the main objecetive there was for it to be a scientific guide (an identification guide) more than a photo guide.

Also, Jim is coming over early next year. I am to prepare a portfolio for his viewing, so that some of my photos would probably end up in the second edition of The Orchids of the Philippines.

But, I am very happy about your interest in Philippine orchids. In the next few years you shall be seeing more of them, probably not only from myself.

No, not really a miniature. The whole plant is about a foot tall, excluding the upper leaves and the roots. The spike is a bit less than a foot long.
