I'm not into these guys, so I hadn't really thought about it, Nelson. Do they open sequentially, so that the first opened is close to dropping before the last gets up in line? Yikes! talk about timing a spike!

Nicely done! Superb photography, as always!

    Default Not really.

Do they open sequentially, so that the first opened is close to dropping before the last gets up in line? Yikes! talk about timing a spike!

The buds start out vertically and gradually rise. Halfway through (at about 45 degree angle) the basal portions of the blooms open, and then the blooms stay on horizontal position for around 24 hours before they begin to drop off.

Nicely done! Superb photography, as always!

    Thank you, Madam.
