Ours is coming into bloom soon. It has lots of spikes and buds, but only a couple of the flowers are open. It is in a hard place to photograph, so please forgive the photos...

That will be a show when they all open, Bruce - be sure to update the photos!

OOPS! The plant I posted here in bud is actually Angraecum veitchii -- not sesquipedale. (Guess I should read the tags before posting...lol!) I will post photos when in bloom.

    Cheers,
    BD

Oh cool! I have a good sized Veitchii!

How large is your plant, Bruce? I'm curious if can expect anything like the show yours is putting on.

It is very large. I would guess about 2.5' tall with two large growths. It has permenantly attached itself to the bench in the greenhouse. When we move, we will have to cut away the bench to take it with us.

    cheers,

Wow! I'll have to scale my expectations back appropriately.

I thought they were monopodial. So they do put up multiple growths?

Maybe so, but here is what it looks like. I was wrong, it has four growths.

Here are some other photos I just took to show its size. It is a bit larger than I described it as well. As you can see in the photos, it is tied to the center support for the GH. It has lots of spikes and lots of buds. Some more blooms have opended too.

    Enjoy!

All are wonderful plants and blooms. I'll have Darwin send his moth over right away.
