WOW! That is cool! The more of these I see, the more I think I want one. The second photo of the set here is just awesome, Nelson. Good work!

    Cheers,

Great photos. My Coelogyne marmorata is opening up now. I think four out of eight flowers are open now.

    Great growing!

Jim Cootes (author of Orchids of the Philippines, 2001).has sent word that the plant I posted as Coelogyne marmorata is actually Coelogyne remediosae, and the plant posted as Dendrobium cerinum is actually Dendrobium ionopus.

I am sorry for the misidentification. I had not double-checked the identification of the vendors.

Your photography is beautiful none the less, and no one expects you to have memorized every species by sight....

I am not a taxonomist, I don't lose sleep over stuff like that...

Interestingly, over the new year, I was in my house, alone, watching Kill Bill I and II, and one of the protagonists was ruminating over Superman and Clark Kent before he was killed...kind of put a new insight on the comic book character.

BTW, I loved Kill Bill I and II, but especially II. I had kind of avoided it after one of my staff told me it was boring; maybe he wasn't listening to the conversations. Also, I like the way Uma Thurman speaks English...
