Uk websites emphasise a significant drop in temp overnight, but they seem to give fairly different temp ranges. One gives the range of about 18-24°c during the day, and 13-17°c at night. Another one says that they are very resilient and can stand temperatures in the summer of up to 35° (95f). I really want to try them, but haven't yet - I just aspire to! perhaps someone else who has a bit more experience than me will chime in.

    Can we see a photo?

It wasn't until after buying it I started hearing about it needing cool conditions...what is the max temp this guy could stand? And what kind of mix do you keep them in?
I grow them in a bark mix with some grow cubes (rock wool cubes) added to retain some extra moisture. I grow intermediate. Early morning sun (eastern exposure)

Heres some photos of my zygos and where they have been growing and are now.

The first 2 photos are of the 1st 100 .They are 18month out of flask, were re potted back in October and have just been re potted last weekend. They are now in 2inch pots with some producing there 1st bulb.

The 2nd and 3rd photos show the last 28 that were tooo small to pot into the 2inch pots and are back where they have been growing but having been re potted.

The potting mix that they are in is coconut that has been treated with Epsom salts and the fines (anything that will pass through a 3mm sieve)removed.

Wow Murray, that's really good. Are these all in your outdoor planting area that you have shown pictures of before?

I had a Zygo species, and I hated the black spotting that the foliage was so prone to. I got annoyed at it, and it felt likewise. We parted ways. I stayed and it went to the great compost heap in the sky.
