the blooms are so tiny, yet it's so catching with its noticable fragrance

Can they bloom twice a year?

Fren, Mine is outside all year and seems to like it. As for blooming twice a year, mine only blooms once but some of the hybrids might.

It's a Mexipedium xerophyticum. It's a miniature found in mexico that was once classified as a Phrag, they are definitely different from phrags and are drier growing. From an evolutionary perspective, I think it is an example of convergent evolution to paphs based on their vegetation (correct me because I might be wrong). I'm still wanting one. I stole the picture from somewhere...
I think I stole it from here after some searching Mexipedium xerophyticum - Wikimedia Commons
I found one internet vendor for it in Canada, but one will be more expensive than a phrag kovachii, lol. I think they are cheaper in USA

I have a plant that I have had for at least ten years and it has thrived on neglect. It has been grown under something resembling Cattylea conditions. My plant blooms regularly each spring so you should be able to re-bloom yours without much effort. My plant is in tree fern but I saw some recently at the Central Florida Show that were growing in sphagnum moss that looked exceptionally nice. Happy growing.

It blooms again a year later with other buds to come. I'm glad to rebloom it as I read some can be tricky. I have it in CHC in that cymbidium pot and it doesn't mind occasionally sitting in water to stay plump when it gets really dry. That single bloom fills my room with wonderful fragrance and plus more buds are coming. I like this photo (I might paint it)

Oh, that's fantastic! I also read that these can be tricky to re-bloom so well done! It's definitely one of my favourites, I just hope it flowers for me too. Can I ask how you grow it?

Congrats on the rebloom! And that is a fantastic photo, would love to see a painting of it!
