The shape of those flowers is really something, and they are a great colour. It's a cool orchid - don't worry about the photos!

Very floriferous, and I love the color! Thanks, Gin!

I know some of the Stanhopeas only put out two massive flowers. Do Gongoras vary like that, or all they all this floriferous? Also how long do the flowers last? Again, some of the Stans only last for two or three days.

Surprised how yellow those lil dragons are. Bright lil fellas.

Julie, typically [for me at least] gongora flowers last about 2 weeks. Number of flowers Gin's has is quite common.

I find I have trouble blooming them in the winter ... buds generally blast. Summer spikes don't seem to have the same problem. My guess is the difference in humidity and perhaps the more consistent temps.

What does yours smell like, Gin? My quinquenervis smelled strongly of clove.

OH! I have not bloomed it yet, so I didn't know. LOL... I probably did bid on this one too. It looks like something I would bid on at an auction. LOL!

    Cheers,
