    What a beautiful flower. Such contrast in colors, with the beautiful rich lip and the yellow splash at the edge of the petals...

    That's an expression I've heard growers use for the ridges that run down a lip, often in a group of 3, 5, or 7. Some Coelogynes have very pronounced ones, some don't.

    I was just curious.

    That is a very nice flower Nelson, I agree with the others' comments about the contrasting colours, they are lovely
