Default sigmatostalix radicans

Love this lil guy. has about 20 spikes. Flowers are a pain to get a close up with a 10 year old digital camera.

Those are neat! 20 Spikes! How old is that plant? Does it have a fragrance?

Cheers!

I'm horrible at info. It's grown on a mount and prefers intermediate to cooler temps. Lots of water. untra mini flowers but lot's of flowers to a spike. no fragrance I can detect during the day. I also grow one in my terrarium and it blooms for me under CF lights as well. I got the plant 3 years ago. it was about 15 PB then and puts out just as many every year. I have divided it several times already.

It sure looks like it would have a fragrance. I am always amazed by how fragrant some of the little blooms (especially the white ones) can be on some of these orchids.

What do you do with all the divisions? Sounds like it grows like a weed!

Cheers!

Hi Mike...
Isn't this called ornithorpa radicans, also? Something about it looking like a bird.
I traded a piece of mine to Sharon Dahl....she got the most incredible photo of a bloom.
Here is a link to her website...check it out..great grower , photographer, and nice lady !

Yep, that's the synonym. Well, one of them. Sharon is a great lady. She recently sent me some lovely plants!
