    Thanks for the helpful information Diane. I had a lot of butterfly questions for this forum last summer. My butterfly , whose spike had browned out at the tip finally got a green bump, the leaves grew a lot, and now that bump is slowly beginning to grow in to a new spike. I'd say that's really slow growing. No sign of any bud yet.
