Default Aerides inflexa, pink spotted form

While working on my plants today, I very surprised to see this plant blooming in the farthest corner of my grow area. I don't think I ever had a fully bloomed not-so-tiny plant blooming without serving me notice before!

Aerides inflexa is a species not reported from the Philippines before. I had posted two other inflexas a week and a moth or so ago; Jim Cootes had to help me out with their identification.

This one was acquired three years ago as Aerides quinquevulnera var. purpurata. A Dendrobium secundum is stuck with it.

Very fragrant.

Glad you mentioned the part about the dendrobium being stuck in with this one. I saw what I thought was a dend cane and then read the name aerides. LOL. This color is beautiful. It says - "Hey Nelson!!- NOTICE me too!"

Cheers,
BD
