    Default Trichosalpinx mathildae

I have this growing osmunda. I have a bundle of the fiber with all the fibers running one direction. The lower part of the bundle is sitting in a reservoir of water and the plant is growing in the fibers a couple of inches above the reservoir. This keeps a constant supply of moisture to the plant yet allows the roots to get plenty of air.

    Default Way cool!

Awesome. This is the first time I've seen or heard of this species. The flowers look like little hungry alligator mouths ready to chomp an unsuspecting wildebeast.
