Default Neofinetia falcata 'Ootakamaru' and 'Kohou'

This is Neofinetia falcata variety 'Ootakamaru' This plant is amazing when it blooms because of the number of spikes it puts out per growth (3-5) and the number of flowers it gets on each spike (8-10). The gorgeous white flowers are rather large, are tinged and spotted with a hint of pale pink, and have a wonderful and powerful fragrance. I love this plant! I took this photograph on May 4, 2007.

Also shown here is my Neofinetia falcata variety 'Kohou'
Beautiful clear yellow flowers...they are also fragrant, but not as strong as the 'Ootakamaru'

It was fantastic this year! I took a ton of photos, but with learning how to use a new camera, not a lot of them came out very well. This is one of my best-performing plants. I can't say enough good things about it!

I know nothing about Neofinetia falcata judging by the AOS, but perhaps this blooming is awardable. if not a flower quality award, maybe even a cultural award?

Such beautiful orchids, just awsome. I am waiting for mine to open, it has just one spike with five buds on it. Mine is a fulcan var. and I've never seen it bloom. I can't wait.
