Enc Tampensis
My Butterfly orchid is in bloom, what a pretty little plant it is. I have it mounted on my date palm at my front door so I can watch it daily.
Enjoy,Cin

I really like E. tampensis! Such a nice fragrance too! That is the first orchid I ever grew. Many years ago a friend in Zephyrhills, Florida was cutting down a big old liveoak tree in her front yard. She called me up and said she thought there might be some "orchids or something" growing in her tree, and since she knew I liked plants, perhaps I would want to come and rescue them before the workmen came to remove her tree. I did, and thus began my journey into orchid growing.

Great story, Neo!
Cin, the tampensis is beautiful. I wish I could grow orchids on the trees around here, but it just gets too cold.
Cheers,
BD

YEAH! It's lovely, Cin. I saw my first bloom at Highland's Hammock. I bet Myakka SP is busting out about now.

THis is so cool, Cin! I always admired my dad's neighbor's in Florida who had mounted their plants onto their trees in their yards. What a way to live!! Talk about being able to give the orchids exactly what they want in life...too lovely!!
