    Default Masdevallia Angel Frost 'Cooper'

Here is an Angel Frost with super tiny purple hairs all over the yellow-orange sepals. It has an interesting optical effect when you get real close. Lots of leaves on this plant but very few flowers. One day I'll figure it out and have a prize winner.

That's the one and only masdie that I have The hairy flowers are just wonderful!

I was almost certain that I was going to kill mine but it's been sprouting new leaves recently.

Here's the picture I took when it was in bloom

Excellent, Elena. I've been trying to gradually expose mine to more light in order to get more blooms. We'll see what happens. In winter, I grow under lights. In summer, it's windowsill culture but I try to move my Masdevallias outside if it looks cool and rainy.

Good to know other people grow them on the windowsill! I too try to open the window whenever it's raining which is all the time for the last few weeks.

Colour's beautiful on that one. Love the way the colour deflects off the hairs.

Wish I could grow masdies. Sigh. Will have to wait till I can build an orchidarium to house them.
