love the labellum with the fine, fluffy and very mobile hairs. This is an African species from countries bordering the Atlantic, just north of the equator.
That is nice and fluffy! How I love red orchids! (Well, I guess I also love blue orchids, green orchids, yellow orchids, and, and, and......)
Nice picture Ron, love the dark red. Which reminds me, must buy dark red chid...
That is a great color...does it smell good too?
That's a fantastic rich colour, and you can almost feel that texture - what a great photo!
Very cool with the deeply fringed, dare I say it too, 'fluffy' labellum. As for the colour, talk about intense! So the question that begs to be answered... is it a stinky (for an extra 15 points! )
How very cool! How big are the flowers? the plant?
I didn't detect a fragrance...The p-bulbs are about 3 cm tall and fairly close together. Leaves about 10 cm tall. Individual flower about 2 cm wide. You can see the p-bulbs in this photo
